FREE “CREATING YOUR BEST RETIREMENT” DVD
The DVD you are about to order is from the 2009 Pure Financial Advisors Fall client event at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. To help educate our clients, we invited three renowned experts to discuss various aspects of retirement planning. Pure Financial Advisors is committed to financial education and transparency. What is on the DVD?
The three presentations are setting clear goals, an academic view of financial planning, and investing in capital markets. Each speaker is very different in their delivery, each has an important message.

John Assaraf is the New York Times Best Selling author of “The Answer”, CEO of OneCoach Inc. and was featured in the movie “The Secret”. John talks about vision, goals and focus as a basis for building a clear foundation for your retirement planning. John suggests that if you decide in advance what you want to accomplish, it is easier to identify tools and strategies for success. (25 min)

Tom Warschauer, PhD is our second presenter with an academic perspective of financial planning. Tom is professor of finance at San Diego State University's College of Business Administration. He also serves as Director of SDSU's Personal Financial Planning Masters Degree program. In addition, he is director of the SDSU Center for the Study of Personal Financial Planning. He has served as a member of the Board of Examiners for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Board of Standards, founded and was first President of the National Academy of Financial Services. Tom has been the academic editor of the Journal of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners and was associate editor of the Financial Services Review. (23 min)

Gene Fama Jr., Vice President of Dimensional Fund Advisors, managing 160 billion in assets, provides an overview of the investor role in capital markets within the context of research that has led to three Nobel prizes. This is pretty heavy information, but Gene makes it entertaining. I have been told that most people need to watch this presentation several times to really “get it”, but if you do, it will change the way you look at your role as an investor forever. You will be able to focus on what academic research shows us really matters and avoid all the constant media distractions. (45 min)
